Here is another photo that I took that evening when I was flying in a helicopter around downtown Chicago. The pilots were cool enough to take off the door to give me an unencumbered view. That part was great -- the thing I did not expect was the 200 MPH
backwash flying through the cavity. It made it rather tough to keep the camera steady!

where? like my foto today? was at the park when this beautiful creature...also my friend came awalkin' by so i asked the owner...(i wasn't shy this time) because i just had to get this shot...for you honey, i said, "can i take a picture!?" and smiled, he said, "ok" and then i asked questions...and he told me all the little details below his name is....

Now, I know some of you EXIF-hunters love to know all the dirty details of the exposure. I keep it inside the Flickr page if you click on More Properties. But to save you the time, here is the basic info. BTW, this is a single-exposure RAW file that I converted into an HDR. This was shot at f/2.8 with an Exposure Bias of -5. The shutter was 1/8000, the ISO 800, and it was shot at 18mm. The camera was the Nikon D3X and it was shot with the 14-24mm 2.8 lens. I have details of all that stuff over there in the DSLR Camera equipment area.

Happy Canada Day 2009 – A Look Across Our Canada
Let’s face it: We live in one of the most beautiful countries in the World. So, to celebrate the birthday of Canada, I wanted to go on a photographic journey around the country. I sadly do not get to experience the fireworks tonight – something I usually look forward to – because I must work my other job. If you’re currently at your job, I hope post and these photographs of Canada help to mentally take you away from the cubical and into the scene.
Looking for a photo from each province of Canada, I decided that Nunavut and Northwest Territories deserved more than one photo. I don’t see nearly enough photographs of these areas and upon browsing them, I was fascinated. Canada really is gorgeous and so often we forget that we have such amazing landscapes to discover right here at home. In April, we went out west to BC and Alberta and it was so memorable. Moreover, I watched “One Week,” a movie about a trip heading west and much more, reminded me of the amazing experience you can have here in Canada. If you haven’t watched it, today would be a perfect day to take the time to rent it. If you watch it, let me know what you think of it and let me know something about Canada that you find fascinating. These photos that I am about to display here, are reason enough that I love my country. Now I just need to move out west for less cold winters. Enjoy and Happy Canada Day!
