about the lady at tim horton's, i was lining up for my steep tea it was a big line up and the lady in front of me seemed to be a regular, i could tell from the server dealing with her, it looked like they've dealt with her before or whatever and they were tired of helping her...and just wanted to get on with the next...because maybe she's abrupt or mean or just not their type to deal with...maybe she gives them a hard time and is picky with her coffee requests, i'm not sure, but that happens with customer service sometimes, they had asked her...are you finished? in a nice way to be polite but knowing she might ask for something more...and she said, "yes i'm finished thanks"
....after she was finally done i walked up next in line and asked for my drink...then i heard her hush under her breath over to me, she was to my left, she said, "can i have $5 dollars...please" she thought i was going to say no i bet...but i said without hesitation, "ok...." and then i didn't even notice but i saw her hands...she held her coffee with the palms of her hands, she had no fingers, i couldn't believe it...and she was asking me for money...after waiting a few more for my drink i asked her can i take your picture? she said, "after you give me the money" i was like, "oh don't worry, of course i'm going to, i would never do that..." she smiled inside for a quick second

the girl behind the tim horton's counter was looking at me, looking at her...and wondering...what's going on here? or strange? why are they talking to eachother...? and i think they knew i was talking to her and going to give her money but everyone around me wasn't sure...anyways as the cashier was breaking my twenty...she was giving me a ten dollar bill and change, while that was happening this woman decided to come around to my right...and stuck out her hand in front of me....the cashier was still bewildered and so were the people behind me in line...so i asked the cashier, "uhm can you please break my ten in to two fives...please..." she did...everyone felt uncomfortable for me but i didn't...and as the money was coming towards me, the lady stuck out her hand as if i need the money, give it to me kind of feeling...and i handed it over to her all the while in front of everyone around us who thought i was probably crazy for dealing with this lady they probably see everyday...

Value (this was my 444th foto) Traditionally included in the cardinal, or most valuable, gemstones (along with diamond, sapphire, ruby, and emerald), amethyst has lost much of its value due to the discovery of extensive deposits in locations such as Brazil. The highest grade amethyst (called "Deep Russian") is exceptionally rare and therefore its value is dependent on the demand of collectors when one is found. It is however still orders of magnitude lower than the highest grade sapphires or rubies (Padparadscha sapphire or "pigeon's blood" ruby).[4]
Amethyst is the birthstone associated with February. It is also associated with the astrological signs of Pisces, Aries (especially the violet and purple variety), Aquarius, and Sagittarius. It is a symbol of heavenly understanding, and of the pioneer in thought and action on the philosophical, religious, spiritual, and material planes. Ranking members of the Roman Catholic Church traditionally wear rings set with a large amethyst as part of their office.
The Greek word "amethystos" (αμέθυστος) basically can be translated as "not drunken". Amethyst was considered to be a strong antidote against drunkenness, which is why wine goblets were often carved from it. Supposedly, when a drunken Dionysus was pursuing a maiden called Amethystos, who refused his affections, she prayed to the gods to remain chaste. The goddess Artemis granted the prayer, transforming her into a white stone; humbled by Amethystos' desire to remain chaste, Dionysus poured wine over the stone she had become as an offering, dyeing the crystals purple.
Variants of the story include that Dionysus, the god of intoxication, had been insulted by a mortal and swore revenge on the next mortal who crossed his path, creating fierce tigers to carry out his wish; the mortal turned out to be a beautiful young woman, Amethystos, who was on her way to pay tribute to Artemis. Her life is spared by Artemis, who transforms the maiden into a statue of pure crystalline quartz to protect her from the brutal claws. Dionysus wept tears of wine in remorse for his action at the sight of the beautiful statue. The god's tears stained the quartz purple.[5] Another variation involves the goddess Rhea presenting Dionysus with the amethyst stone to preserve the winedrinker's sanity.[6]

new note later in the morning a good story i wanted to share but got side tracked, heard this cooing outside my window, didn't know what it was, thought it was a pigeon or something and the ledge is so tiny...anyways...there was a bird, this pigeon, wasn't grey though, it was spots of bronze and white...had big, big eyes...when i opened the blinds...it was much to my delight that this songbird was cooing at my window sill, it actually only cooed one time, she said, "coo coo..." and then i opened the blinds and smiled, that was the only time she cooed :) i couldn't believe this pretty bird came to visit, after that i got my camera phone and started shooting away, was the prettiest bird, it looked different because of it's colours...it was so nice...i will have to upload later xoxo now there that's better and just found more pictures...later this morning...
Since 2003, the GOALS of S.A.S.S. have been to support young people as they express themselves through songwriting in a safe and supportive environment. Joining forces with school boards and teachers, S.A.S.S. provides students guidance in the art of songwriting, as well as opportunities to connect with other artists, both professionals and young peers. Ultimately, S.A.S.S. challenges youth to learn together, stand together and form a strong generation of new artists, willing to make their world a better place through love and music.
In the summer of 2005, Don McLeod and David Blair brought S.A.S.S. to Vancouver and other schools throughout British Columbia including Burnaby, New Westminster, Port Moody, Coquitlam, Langley and Mapleridge.
S.A.S.S. in B.C. has enjoyed mentor visits, recitals and field trips to the Armoury, Rockbeach and Mushroom Studios. S.A.S.S. appreciates the help of their many volunteers, the support of the school boards, and Music B.C. S.A.S.S. is also fortunate to have many Sponsors who have donated generously to S.A.S.S. We are commonly asked about the buildings which remain standing. Most were destroyed. What we see are those in remote areas and those which were so incredibly massive in size it was impossible to destroy them, even with the use of cannons. However, the entire Aztec capital was destroyed, and in its place is the capital of Mexico, Mexico City, and its hundreds of Catholic churches and cathedrals.
We are also asked if we believe the world will end in 2012? The answer is: "no." The next cycle of the Mayan calendar ends on 2012. Does this mean the Maya's believed the world end on 2012? No. It means the calendar ends. Yet, there is also a warning, and we must learn from the past, so let those with eyes, see.

all the world is a stage and everyone has their part, but how was i to know which way the story'd go...i had a blog before which had a lot of good fotos & videos but fell victim under the pale moonlight...it's bittersweet because you would've seen the whole story come together but that's ok, i have a very good memory so we'll just call this déjà vu...now i start over...i'll dust it off and try again, don't know how long it will last this time...maybe for just one more night with another songbird.
