a diamond poem, for diamante is a style of poetry that is made up of six or seven lines. it usually forms a shape of a diamond. the form was developed by iris tiedt in a new poetry form:
the diamante (1969) style
the first and last lines each consist of a one-word noun. the second and sixth lines are each made up of two adjectives and the third and fifth lines are made up of three gerunds. the fourth and middle line consists of four nouns. conceptually, the poem is divided into two halves, with all the words in each half being related to the single noun at the beginning or end. the division point between these halves occurs between the second and third nouns in the middle line. the entire poem is centrally justified, with the inner lines physically longer than the outer lines.

I always wonder what it would be like to have a non-stop boat-lifestyle. Having a boat... sailing up and down the Italian riviera... stopping in one little town for a snack... going to an abandoned grotto for some diving... sailing to a new port for dinner at sunset... I think that would be a nice life, eh?
This was shot in Naples. The city has a beautiful castle jutting out into the Bay of Napoli. It overlooks a cool harbor, a thriving shop and restaurant area, and Mount Vesuvius looming on the horizon.
I was told to closely watch all my camera gear and bags while walking around Naples. There's supposed to be a lot of crime, and I don't doubt it. But I didn't see any while there. The biggest problem was only have 15 hours of daylight to shoot, and I felt like I was a bit robbed by the god of time.

I have put up a short Gigapan Review. The gigapan is a cool little machine that lets you make photos that are insanely huge. You can see the Insanely Huge size here share.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=22696
This is the same photography tech that was used on the Mars rover, and I was able to jam it into my backpack during my hike in southern Argentina. Panoramas on the web are always a tough thing to show and share. The default size is always short and wide, and it loses a lot of the effect. Then scrolling and moving about seems to take away a little bit too. I think a lot about how people consume digital media on the web, and I'm not sure there is a great way to show off a panorama just yet. I've used dozens of GUIs, and they all seem a little bit clunky.
As you can see, it was a beautiful and rough place. I can't believe I hiked for so long and didn't twist my ankle once. The late afternoons heading into sunsets always had these clouds that were darker than the sky, making it all extra moody.

all the world is a stage and everyone has their part, but how was i to know which way the story'd go...i had a blog before which had a lot of good fotos & videos but fell victim under the pale moonlight...it's bittersweet because you would've seen the whole story come together but that's ok, i have a very good memory so we'll just call this déjà vu...now i start over...i'll dust it off and try again, don't know how long it will last this time...maybe for just one more night with another songbird.
