a diamond poem, for diamante is a style of poetry that is made up of six or seven lines. it usually forms a shape of a diamond. the form was developed by iris tiedt in a new poetry form:
the diamante (1969) style
the first and last lines each consist of a one-word noun. the second and sixth lines are each made up of two adjectives and the third and fifth lines are made up of three gerunds. the fourth and middle line consists of four nouns. conceptually, the poem is divided into two halves, with all the words in each half being related to the single noun at the beginning or end. the division point between these halves occurs between the second and third nouns in the middle line. the entire poem is centrally justified, with the inner lines physically longer than the outer lines.

This is our office in downtown Austin. At my own writeoff expense, I had a bunch of my art printed on canvas and framed to make the office a bit more colorful and fun. We have about 60 employees, but in this office, we only have about 10. It's the creative and biz dev HQ, and we decided not to go with traditional offices. It's a converted loft that is all open and communal. We all sit together, share ideas, make stupid jokes, and crank out a lot of work. We are currently burning the midnight oil on WebWars, which is coming along great. Some people are currently attacking THIS website, in fact.
That's my desk right there... a little messy and a little organized, just like any curious brain, right?
I took this to go along with an interview that is coming up soon on Blu Domain for my new portfolio at www.treyratcliff.com. I'll post a link to the interview when it is up!

After the crowds of Angkor Wat, it was nice to go find a remote temple in the jungle and be alone. This temple laid under the jungle, completely undiscovered for centuries.
The hallway and mysterious chambers seemed to go on forever.

I came across this shockingly clear and mysterious green lake. The water magnified the pure green algae that covered every strange underwater formation. There were also fish swimming around inside, but I kept the ISO so low on these shots, the fish got blurred out. I do have some higher ISO shots of the fish I will add at a later date. They were these little blue-colored fish. I think they were trout, but I'm not totally sure. Anyway, I felt lucky to be here in the Autumn, just after a small rainstorm, making all the trees nice and moist with a glistening glow. Below that, I have posted a shot taken by my friend Dima. It is of yours truly with Yuri. He is looking particularly sour in this photo.
Today I am on a radio show with Rodney Washington as the host about photography, HDR, etc etc. You can listen to it on the widget on the blog at 2 PM CST ( link here ). You can even call in! If you miss the show, it will be available for download (or podcast) after it is recorded.

all the world is a stage and everyone has their part, but how was i to know which way the story'd go...i had a blog before which had a lot of good fotos & videos but fell victim under the pale moonlight...it's bittersweet because you would've seen the whole story come together but that's ok, i have a very good memory so we'll just call this déjà vu...now i start over...i'll dust it off and try again, don't know how long it will last this time...maybe for just one more night with another songbird.
