a diamond poem, for diamante is a style of poetry that is made up of six or seven lines. it usually forms a shape of a diamond. the form was developed by iris tiedt in a new poetry form:
the diamante (1969) style
the first and last lines each consist of a one-word noun. the second and sixth lines are each made up of two adjectives and the third and fifth lines are made up of three gerunds. the fourth and middle line consists of four nouns. conceptually, the poem is divided into two halves, with all the words in each half being related to the single noun at the beginning or end. the division point between these halves occurs between the second and third nouns in the middle line. the entire poem is centrally justified, with the inner lines physically longer than the outer lines.

This is REAL music in my opinion, unlike 80% of the cheap commercial garbage that passes off as music nowadays. Meaningful, melodious and soulful music made not with money or fame in mind, but for the music and the emotion itself. If you like this clip consider buying the Sarah Mclachlan "Vh1 Storytellers" DVD (it's available from Amazon). This clip will probably be deleted pretty fast, and that's the way it should be (Sarah is one of the few artists who I'd hate to see "robbed" of her royalties, because she is one of the few who actually deserve them). This mix appeared originally in 1986 on the Geffen promo 7" and later in 1989 as the single version on 45 and cassette to promote the "Say Anything" Soundtrack (WTG records). The 1986 "single version" was over 6 minutes long and this was the "radio edit". It contains the additional verse at the end similar to how Peter plays this song live. "...accepting all I've done and said..." This audio is from the 1989 Promo CD single. Enjoy!

all the world is a stage and everyone has their part, but how was i to know which way the story'd go...i had a blog before which had a lot of good fotos & videos but fell victim under the pale moonlight...it's bittersweet because you would've seen the whole story come together but that's ok, i have a very good memory so we'll just call this déjà vu...now i start over...i'll dust it off and try again, don't know how long it will last this time...maybe for just one more night with another songbird.
