After a minor accident on an ATV with my son, I was stuck on this road for a long time while waiting to for rescue. The ATV had caught on fire in a most inappropriate place, but it was still a fun time while waiting around for rescue.
Guns N' Roses - patience 1,606,420 views
Patience" is a song by the American hard rock group Guns N' Roses, which appears on the album G N' R Lies and was released as a single in 1989. The song peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The song is played using three acoustic guitars, and was recorded in a single session by producer Mike Clink. A music video of the song was shot and appears on the band's music video DVD, Welcome to the Videos. The music and lyrics were written by rhythm guitarist and founding member, Izzy Stradlin.
The motivation for the track is generally accepted to be the troublesome relationship between Axl Rose and now ex-wife Erin Everly, though this was never stated in the album or interviews. It has been stated by the band that Izzy wrote the song about his ex-girlfriend Angela Nicoletti McCoy. Other points of view point to the video and suggest it is about failed relationships in general. In the video, the band members are situated in a hotel where they are the only constant images, and all other people are present for a moment, then fade away. More recently fans have taken another view on the song, as now Rose is the only remaining member from the original lineup. In an ironic and precognitive twist, the final parts of the video show Rose sitting alone in his home watching older Guns N' Roses videos in what appears to be a sad and lonely state.
The video was one of many produced by the band. It was the last video in which Steven Adler (even though he did not play on the track) appeared, and the last before the Use Your Illusion videos. The hotel depicted in the video was inoperative and scheduled for demolition, which took place days after filming.
The song was featured as a steady number in the two hundred-plus shows Use Your Illusion Tour. After Izzy Stradlin's departure from the band in 1991 and for all 1992 shows, Patience was scheduled in every show to follow an impromptu version of Rolling Stone's Wild Horses played almost exclusively by Gilby Clarke and Slash who would go on to play the introductory notes for Patience right after Wild Horses' final note. In this period of the tour, Slash added fanciness by using his famous black double-necked 6-string guitar for the theme.
During a 2002 live performance of the song, Rose noticed a fan wearing a "Where is Slash?" T-shirt. Rose said, "He's in my ass, that's where Slash is! Fuckhead! Go home!"
Fortunately, the camera and tripod were uninjured. While waiting, sunset rolled around and it occurred to me that there are worse things in life than this!

Based on a true story. After graduating from Emory University in 1992, top student and athlete Christopher McCandless abandoned his possessions, gave his entire $24,000 savings account to charity and hitchhiked to Alaska to live in the wilderness. Along the way, Christopher encounters a series of characters who shape his life.
Song Lyrics:
hmmm ooh hooo hooo
It's a mistery to me
we have a greed
with which we have agreed
You think you have to want
more than you need
until you have it all you won't be free
society, you're a crazy breed
I hope you're not lonely without me
When you want more than you have
you think you need
and when you think more than you want
your thoughts begin to bleed
I think I need to find a bigger place
'cos when you have more than you think
you need more space
society, you're a crazy breed
I hope you're not lonely without me
society, crazy and deep
I hope you're not lonely without me
there's those thinking more or less less is more
but if less is more how you're keeping score?
Means for every point you make
your level drops
kinda like its starting from the top
you can't do that...
society, you're a crazy breed
I hope you're not lonely without me
society, crazy and deep
I hope you're not lonely without me
society, have mercy on me
I hope you're not angry if I disagree
society, crazy and deep
I hope you're not lonely without me

I am headed back to Montana tomorrow for a week. I'll actually be in both Montana and Wyoming in Yellowstone National Park. I think it's my 5th or 6th trip there! I'm really looking forward to it... This will be my first trip with the D3X, so I look forward to rediscovering some old favorites with the new camera. Also, since it's Yellowstone, the weather patterns are always unique and unexpected.

This shot is from the northern part of Montana, up where the fields go on forever. These nice crop rows are the ones that get caught in your eyes when you are driving by at super-sonic speeds...but you can still make out single rows like frames in an old movie.

EDDIE VEDDER LYRICS - Hard Sun Lyrics
When I walk beside her
I am the better man
when i look to leave her
I always stagger back again
Once I built an ivory tower
so I could worship from above
when I climb down to be set free
she took me in again
CHORUS
There’s a big
a big hard sun
beating on the big people
in the big hard world
When she comes to greet me
she is mercy at my feet
I see her inner charm
she just throws it back at me
Once I dug an early grave
to find a better land
she just smiled and laughed at me
and took her rules back again
Once I stood to lose her
and I saw what i had done
bowed down and threw away the hours
of her garden and her sun
So I tried to want her
I turned to see her weep
40 days and 40 nights
and its still coming down on me
CHORUS
