Loved the K-OS concert was awesome, it started at 10:20pm ended 11:52pm on my blackberry...he remixed stairway to heaven with heaven only knows...he played journeyman at the end...a whole bunch of favourite songs...zambony...sunday morning...the avenue...etc...4,3,2 1...got pix, vids, cds...t-shirt...and donated to david suzuki foundation...hehe...was so nice, was a free concert...so donated just a few and bought merchandise...was cute a pix of k-os n david suzuki together on their campaign board...project called karma...nice...loved it...and socrates came in to sing i wish i knew natalie portman song...like that song too...there was this little girl 10 yrs old who came with her dad to the concert her name was ivy...hehe talked to her too she stood right beside me...was an all ages event...ivy got to get her picture with k-os, she's so lucky, she won a contest draw, i asked her how long have you been a fan? she didn't know, she was shy, didn't know couldn't answer..., her dad said it's been a couple years now..."she likes the song sunday morning..." i love that song...what a nice dad for taking her to the concert reminds me when my dad took me to see michael jackson...thanks dad...i'll never forget michael jackson's one glove and shiny outfit... :) all parents should take their kids to concerts...

I spent a weekend in the seaside town of Malacca, which used to rival Singapore in the beginning of the 1900's as the busiest port in SE Asia. Over time, the dutch built up Singapore and allowed Malacca to stay small and quaint. It's still the same way, with the old architecture lining the streets. The old warehouses and shops of the early century are now converted in to taverns, shops, and temples.
As I was moving around from place to place taking photos, I heard some acoustic guitar coming from a small empty tavern. I went in and met Aki here, who was warming up for a concert later than night in the same place. I asked her if she could take a photo while she practiced, and she said of course and then invited me to see her sing later that night.

This is our office in downtown Austin. At my own writeoff expense, I had a bunch of my art printed on canvas and framed to make the office a bit more colorful and fun. We have about 60 employees, but in this office, we only have about 10. It's the creative and biz dev HQ, and we decided not to go with traditional offices. It's a converted loft that is all open and communal. We all sit together, share ideas, make stupid jokes, and crank out a lot of work. We are currently burning the midnight oil on WebWars, which is coming along great. Some people are currently attacking THIS website, in fact.
That's my desk right there... a little messy and a little organized, just like any curious brain, right?

After the crowds of Angkor Wat, it was nice to go find a remote temple in the jungle and be alone. This temple laid under the jungle, completely undiscovered for centuries.
The hallway and mysterious chambers seemed to go on forever.

The chase
This is a clone picture taken in Milan. My boyfriend was the ‘human tripod’ here, holding the camera as still as humanly possible whilst I ran about in a public place, something with which I was not so confident - but there was only one man in the distance, so I got on with it. The first image we liked was the frontmost figure you see - she was a perfect haphazard shot, and all she needed was some perfunctory decoration in the form of a few accompanying clones. I didn’t share the final composite, strangely enough, until about 6 months later on Flickr. I wasn’t completely happy with the image until I made some tweaks to bring the characters closer together in harmony, and then, mid-cold-January, shared it online as a summery treat. It went down well, so I wondered why it had been stuck in the drawer for so long. Maybe it was tweaking those shadows that seemed like an endless job?

We are commonly asked about the buildings which remain standing. Most were destroyed. We are also asked if we believe the world will end in 2012? The answer is: "no." The next cycle of the Mayan calendar ends on 2012. Does this mean the Maya's believed the world end on 2012? No. It means the calendar ends. Yet, there is also a warning, and we must learn from the past, so let those with eyes, see.
