Long version of Texas Flood by stevie ray vaughn ! Texas Flood is an electric blues album by blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan and his band Double Trouble, released in 1983. Although "Texas Flood" has three verses of lyrics, the song is more of a prolonged guitar solo, allowing Vaughan to show off his characteristic electric blues style. During live shows, he would often play portions of this song behind his back, arousing an enthusiastic crowd response. Stylistically, "Texas Flood" is structured around the common three chord blues progression. Written and performed in the key of G (sounding F# because of Vaughan's tuning), it is in 12/8 time, or compound time[1], which gives it a "slow burning" feel that is common in Texas blues.
This is the famous Stevie Ray Vaughn statue in Austin. It's almost as famous as that little statue of mermaid in Copenhagen, Denmark (at least to Texans). It sits on the edge of Lady Bird Lake and I see it almost every day when I go on a run. In fact, I saw it today. We've had over a week of 100+ degree days here in Austin, and it's getting a little old. I'm not the young man I used to be when it comes to this sort of thing.
You can see a few cranes out there over downtown. They are in the middle of building two more high rise condos. I've been waiting patiently for them to finish so I can grab a shot of the new Austin skyline of 2010. 2010 - it's pretty close - can you believe it?

Back in May, Facebook raised another $200 million, which valued the company at $10 billion. Now, the investor – Digital Sky Technologies – is allowing employees to sell shares at a valuation of $6.5 billion according to a report in The New York Times.
While that’s a far cry from the $15 billion that FacebookFacebook was once valued at by way of a small Microsoft investment, it does finally put into perspective how big of a company that the social network has become. At $6.5 billion, Facebook is valued higher than CBS, Discovery Communications, and Macy’s.
For a more apples-to-apples comparison, it even places Facebook ahead of Salesforce.com, a publicly traded company that hit $1 billion in sales in its most recent fiscal year. Facebook’s revenue for 2009 is now expected to come in around $500 million according to recent comments by board member Marc Andreessen.
As for why the valuation has come down to $6.5 billion from $10 billion in only two months, The Times explains that the “previous investment … was for preferred shares.” Regardless, Facebook is clearly entering some remarkable territory, the scale of which has not been seen since the rise of GoogleGoogle early this decade.
