It was always one of those things that fascinated me as a child. Pretty much anything with the name "ghost" in it was cool back then, including my "Choose Your Own Adventure" books. I remember there was one called "Deadwood" or something like that, which always had a creepy ghost town feel to it.

Elvis Presley Mystery Train
Written by Herman (Little Junior) Parker and Sam Phillips. Elvis recorded it July 11, 1955 at Sun Records, along with Scotty Moore, Bill Black and Johnny Bernero on drums. RCA reissued the song in November-December 1955; it was the A-side to I Forgot to Remember to Forget. It is available on Artist of the Century, A Touch of Platinum, Platinum: A Life in Music, The Sun Sessions, and The King of Rock n Roll-The Complete 50s Masters.
Train I ride, sixteen coaches long
Train I ride, sixteen coaches long
Well that long black train got my baby and gone
Train train, comin' 'round, 'round the bend
Train train, comin' 'round round the bend
Well it took my baby,
but it never will again (no, not again)
Train train, comin' down, down the line
Train train, comin' down down the line
Well it's bringin' my baby,
'cause she's mine all, all mine
(She's mine, all, all mine)
Train train, comin' 'round, 'round the bend
Train train, comin' 'round round the bend
Round the bend
Well it took my baby,
but it never will again
No it never will again
Ooohh oh

Anyway, this is a strange abandoned town outside of Brenham, Texas (Home of Blue Bell Ice Cream!). And no, 17 Bodies were not found here... just being a bit dramatic. Or maybe there WERE 17 bodies here but the authorities are just covering it up. It's all true. I heard Alex Jones say it.

Last, I have updated my Nikon 14-24 Review and my Nikon 24-70 Review with new photos and the like. I know that only about half of our audience is photographers, but some people are looking to get into it more seriously, so maybe those will be helpful to you!

Anyone whose ever had a heart
Wouldnt turn around and break it
And anyone whos ever played a part
Wouldnt turn around and hate it
Sweet jane, sweet jane
Sweet, sweet jane
Youre waiting for jimmy down in the alley
Waiting there for him to come back home
Waiting down on the corner
And thinking of ways to get back home
Sweet jane, sweet jane
Sweet, sweet jane
Anyone whos ever had a dream
Anyone whos ever played a part
Anyone whos ever been lonely
And anyone whos ever split apart
Sweet jane, sweet jane
Sweet, sweet jane
Heavenly widened roses
Seem to whisper to me when you smile
